Watching one of the hottest bands in the world with your best friend intact ---> Priceless

The haircut

Times are wild and I had to have a haircut. I wanted to try something new. Something radical. Something so radical that even my flatmates could do it. And here it is...



Maybe it's too radical....

What a dissapointment...

I just got back from watching Miami Vice. What a dissapointment... the story was very weak and the style did not reach the peaks of Heat or The Insider. It's too bad because I dragged 6 more people with me, since the trailer was fantastic. I cannot believe such a weak film is a Michael Mann film... And all because of the fantastic trailer



I'll be more careful next time.

I had the luck to listen to this song. It is, I think, the last video Johnny Cash did before he died... I could write a lot about it but I will leave it to you to decide if you like it or not. I always get goosebumps when watching it...

Yes, I'm around

So, I'm back to London. I have left all the great people in that great country to return to the UK. I am not sure if this blog will continue to exist. To be honest, I don't see a point to it. Still, I will think of its fate. It will probably transform into something else, that I don't know of.

I don't think any interesting things will happen from now on. Not at least at the same degree to the things that happened in Japan.

Time will tell...

Hanami

Today I'm sick, so I found some time to update the blog with this post about Hanami.

A FACT KNOWN TO ALL OF HUMANITY:
Japan looks its best when sakura (cherry-blossoms) is about.

As with all of the countries in the world, in terms of natural beauty spring is the most beautiful season of the year. But in Japan, sakura blossoms and makes nature at this time unbelievably beautiful! Ofcourse, japanese people agree and they take any opportunity they can to celebrate the beauty of nature under the beautiful flowers. The amazing combination of white and pink in this tree inspires japanese people (nature's beauty always does this, doesn't it...). But here's the catch: the flowers don't usually stay longer than one to two weeks! So this beauty, once a year, represents how beautiful moments in life are so frail and pass quickly. So, almost all japanese go for hanami, which is having a picnic under the sakura (usually involving alot of drinking!). To give you the size of the importance of this period, tv-stations monitor the progressing of the blossoming throughout Japan, while a hanami usually kick-starts the new academic and fiscal years!
