this blog...

... feels like it has lost its meaning. When I started writing it, I thought it would be a great way of keeping people in touch with the things that happen to me in Japan. 3 years later on, I went back in the U.K. and now in Greece; I'm not really sure how this blog will turn out... Maybe this is the last post, maybe not. Who knows...

Thanks for the reading anyway, all three of you :)

R.E.M. and all that jazz...

I know what most of you think about R.E.M. "They where great back then..." riiiiiight.

I must admit that I wasn't a big fan of "Around the Sun", BUT they always had little gems in their not-so-great albums.

So I don't want to hear more about it. They are masters of their kind.

Sebastien Tellier - La Ritournelle

Thanks Ourania for the heads up!

La Ritournelle (the only love song)
Oh nothing's going to change my love for you
I wanna spend my life with you
So we make love on the grass under the moon
No one call tell, damned if I do
Forever journey on golden avenues
I drift in your eyes since I love you
I got that beat in my veins for only rule
Love is to share, mine is for you

I just can't get it out of my head today!

Pet Shop Boys in their greatest

Speaking of PSB, my all time favourite is Heart, with Ian McKellen as the vampire in the excellent video

I've seen Neil Tennant in Chelsea; I'm a happy bunny on the Pet Shop Boys front... ;)

Apparently the content level in this blog is...

blog readability test

Movie Reviews

Hmmm... I'm not sure if this is good or bad...

Still, my other "scientific" blog

blog readability test

TV Reviews

is for geniuses!

And while I struggle to get a PhD at 28...

... others get it at 21!

R.I.P. Netscape Navigator (1994-2008)

The first browser we all used will officially die tomorrow...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7270583.stm

Sad times. At least its offspring Firefox is alive and kicking!

It's funny how songs make you travel back...

to when you were 15 and madly in-love with the most beautiful girl you've met and were rejected under the sounds of it. Then to the cassette my good friend Giannis P. made me with it who I've now lost track of. And then later Manolis (his artistic alias) who had it on CD, and then who knows...

Liquid - One Love Family

Another great song of theirs... Sweet Harmony

Playing with technology, part 2

Apparently Petros was not satisfied with my previous attempts here and decided that he should work in a new, more medieval, Dungeons and Dragons style material...

Stephen Fry praises Linux and Open Source!

I like the guy even more now! He got the Linux-powered Asus (discover it here) and is actually quite adept with technology, so much that he's praising it in his blog. Great stuff!

This is one of the things I love about London

Moby busks in Sloane Square.

I could have been there, as it is close to where I'm staying at the moment! Unfortunately, I only read about it the next day...

Amazing Japanese Girl!

One of my favourite songs of all time, Carry on my wayward son by Kansas, in an excellent performance!
